With extensive experience as the Chief Marketing Officer at Otter Products, LLC, Nate transformed a low-engagement marketing team into a dynamic, data-driven growth engine. He managed a $60M budget and oversaw a direct-to-consumer website with 40M annual visits, maintaining 40% market share despite significant budget reductions. His innovative approach to measuring ROI across various marketing channels and developing complex data science models enhanced the company's marketing efforts, resulting in significant revenue growth and cost savings.
Before his role as CMO, Nate served as the Vice President of Support Services at Otter Products, where he expanded his leadership scope to include IT, strategic planning, and customer service. He successfully rebuilt the IT leadership team, transitioned the company to a cloud structure, and trained over 1,000 global employees on personal accountability principles. His strategic planning and alignment with the Board of Directors ensured better resource allocation and positioned the company for long-term growth. Nate's ability to streamline processes and reduce operational expenses further demonstrated his capacity for transformational leadership.
Nate's journey at Otter Products began as the Customer Service Manager, where he was promoted to Director for his exceptional ability to enhance the company's call center operations. Under his leadership, the call center evolved from a struggling department into a world-class service center with over 200 agents. He implemented automated processes, innovated warranty services, and established robust operational frameworks that significantly improved performance metrics and customer satisfaction. His mentorship and commitment to employee engagement resulted in high retention rates and developed future leaders within the organization. Nate holds an MBA from Colorado State University and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Communications from Brigham Young University.
Nate enjoys living in Colorado and primarily focuses on spending time with his wife Janette and their four children. He also spends a lot of time serving in his church and community where he enjoys helping others and making a difference in their lives.
